A Personal Project: Part IV

As I wrap up the last of my personal project sessions I am left feeling inspired. Inspired by these four wonderful mothers who let me capture them bare faced with air dried hair. Inspired by their authentic and gentle love for their babies. Inspired by the way their little ones love them equally as hard. Inspired by the way they trusted me to photograph them in an unconventional way.

I hope this project leaves you feeling inspired too. Inspired to let the perfectionism we see everyday, all around us, go. To let your hair go natural, your face feel the wind, and your littles to see their mamas in their most natural and beautiful state.

My hope is that as mamas, our confidence will grow and our expectations of ourselves and how we look will lessen. Our kids and our husbands love US for US, our perfectly, imperfect selves and that’s what is most important.

Here is the fourth and final session from this project. Elizabeth, Walker, and Weslie.

A Personal Project Part II

I’ve had this project on my heart for years now, to capture mothers in their most natural state. Bare faced, air dried hair, loving on their littles. The way their babies see them from the moment they emerge from the womb and the way the way their husbands see them when they lay down their heads at night. The way I see motherhood. Natural, beautiful, relaxed. Just four mamas and their little ones, with some pretty light and rolling hills. Nothing more, nothing less. Perfectly imperfect in every way.

Here is the second session of this project. Rae, Gwen, and Liv.
